ABOUT
Daniel McClure started Local Government Law PLLC in an effort to expand the availability of quality legal services to local governments across the State of Oklahoma. Daniel is a 6th generation Oklahoman committed to making the world a better place – one day at a time. Daniel earned his Juris Doctorate graduating Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law where he attended as a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar. Daniel has also earned degrees from other institutions including a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma, dual Bachelors degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma in Economics and Political Science, and an Associates degree from Rose State College.
Daniel has a love for local governance believing that the government closest to the people is the most responsive. He first started in local government on the local parks board, and steadily rose through the ranks in both elected and appointed service. He served as the General Counsel for the Oklahoma Municipal League and represented municipal governments in a legal and legislative capacity for many years. In addition to serving as legal counsel for Oklahoma local governments including municipal governments and rural water districts, Daniel has served as the Mayor of the City of McLoud as well as Vice-Mayor and City Councilman in Midwest City prior to re-locating to Pottawatomie County, OK. While on the Council in Midwest City he worked on several large economic development projects, served on the Hospital Authority & Utility Authority, and also served as the Chairman of the Taskforce on Crime, Punishment, and Rehabilitation. Daniel additionally spent time in the Seminole County District Attorney’s office prosecuting criminal and juvenile deprived cases.
